Sue Davis will conduct a series of four classes lasting 2.5-3 hours each on how to improve your drawing. Over four classes, you will develop a better understanding of the equipment and techniques other artists and illustrators use. The classes are designed to add new concepts weekly on critical skills for seeing the subject, planning your approach, and drawing techniques. All of which will help you improve and be more successful in your paintings.
A detailed pdf explaining the concepts and activities to be presented that week will be emailed to each participant. There will be demonstrations and exercises which focus on the weekly topic.
Time will be provided for everyone to practice the techniques in class. Some drawing specific art supplies will be included for you to keep.
Classes will cover these areas:
Week 1: Value, shading and types of line
Week 2: Compositional techniques, measuring, proportion and symmetry
Week 3: One and two-point perspective, including figures
Week 4: Facial anatomy, basic placement of components and structure of the skull
