Register for SC 2025 For the Love of Art (FLOA) Exhibit

Base fee:
  • Base cost is $25 for one painting with an additional $10 for 2nd painting for a total cost of $35. Members only.

Registration is closed

Registration OPENS for FLOA starting November 1st, 2024. 
Deadline is December 31, 2024 at 6 pm.

“For the Love of Art”, Alternate Spaces Show SC members only, Friday, February 7 - Friday, February 28 Frame & Art Center, 1100 S. Main Street, Las Cruces

Allowable Media: Watermedia including fluid acrylics, gouache, watercolor pencils and watercolor collage. Small amounts of ink and non-watercolor pencil/pen, and ink drawings with watercolor wash.

Allowable sizes: Painting surface can be as small as 4" x 4".
 Outside mat dimensions or mounted painting size should not exceed 14" x 18" (or 18” x 14”). Frames should be narrow, not wide, due to space limitations. Larger paintings, up to a full sheet, will be allowed in the Tombaugh Gallery alternate spaces show coming soon...

Allowable formats include any of the following:

Watercolor paper with frame, plexiglass or glass, and mat(s) of any color

Watercolor paper mounted on cradle board and varnished

Thin panel (aquaboard, gessoboard or watercolor board), varnished and in standard frame

Other---ask us and we’ll let you know.

Artists may submit up to two paintings. The cost is $25 for one painting and $35 for two. 

All work must be for sale. Attach a label to the back of each piece with this information:

Name of Artist, Title, Medium, and Price. 


IMAGES OPTIONAL:  Send a photo of your painting to Arlene Tugel (fullersres[at]msn.com) BY DEC 1, 2024 if you'd like your work to be considered to use in publicity.
 Send her a  jpg file, 1-5 MB in size. 

Frame and Art Center will collect money for sold paintings and retain 30% commission. Price accordingly.

Intake: Artists will bring paintings to F & A between 10:00 and 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 30.

Opening & Reception: The show will open on Friday, February 7, and a reception will be held on the same day from 5:00-7:00 p.m. All artists are expected to be present to greet the public. Light refreshments will be provided

Closing & Pick-up: The show will close on Friday, February 28. Artists must pick up unsold works between 10:00 and 12:00 noon on Friday, February 28.
