Join us at the Learning Tables for three mini demos of art techniques!
Marie Siegrist will demonstrate monoprinting without a press using watercolors. A monotype is a type of print made by transferring an image from a “plate” to paper which can then be enhanced with many art media. She will demo using watercolor and other water-soluble mediums on various types of plates.
Sue Davis will show the process of linoleum block printing. It can be used in conjunction with watercolor on top of the print, or create a "rubber stamp" from the linoleum and apply it to the watercolor painting.
Kay Gross will demo how to use a straw to blow watercolor paint, creating a loose and lovely effect. She uses this technique to create "whimsical birds", and will demonstrate how to make your own unique bird.
We welcome the public to come to our meetings and get to know us and learn about watercolor. Hope to see you there!
