September Demo Artist—Margy O’Brien
Margy O’Brien’s sensitive, nature-oriented artwork has graced the Albuquerque metro area for many years, in the form of murals for the open space center on Coors, to commisioned outdoor tile work for housing developments, to designing display pillars for the international zone and market on Central, to showing in many exhibits featuring her hand-made books with the Libros group, and ultimately in her astonishing nature journals, which are full of wonderfully observed watercolor studies, mostly done on location.
A former art teacher, she now spends her retirement doing watercolors and making intricate hand-made art books, many of which will be on display at the watercolor society meeting.
She is both uplifting and inspiring, and a reminder of how joyous the art-making process can, and should, be.
