NEW YEAR - NEW LOGO
2022 NMWS New Logo
Design Contest
Registration Opens Feb. 16, 2022
Registration Closes April 10, 2022
The creation of a fresh, updated NM Watercolor Society logo has been on our to do list since celebrating our 50th organizational anniversary. We would like to take advantage of advances in digital technology, printing and presentation.
As a member-driven Society, this contest is limited to submissions from the many talented folks we are honored to have as NMWS members. Members are invited to submit up to three logo designs through this website by April 10, 6PM.
Submitted designs will be anonymously (blinded) forwarded to the 9 NMWS Board members for "first pass" ranking in order of preference. Once the collection of designs is narrowed down to the top three, those 3 designs will be shared with the NMWS membership at large, for their voting input for the design most appealing and representative of the New Mexico Watercolor Society.
Note: The purpose of the New Mexico Watercolor Society is the elevation of the stature of watercolor as an art medium and the education of the public about the significance of watercolor as an important creative permanent painting medium. The ultimate goal is to make New Mexico known nationally for its watercolorists.
The member artist with the logo design selected by the member vote (that meets all guidelines and parameters) wins a cash prize of $300.
PLEASE NOTE: ENTRANTS MUST BE Active MEMBERS of NMWS IN GOOD STANDING
