NMWS ABQ Monthly Meeting

Woody, a life-long art educator will be our featured speaker.  As a former middle school art teacher, Woody used the technique he’ll demonstrate here to help the students learn about foreground, middle ground, and background by taking advantage of collage techniques combined with wet-in-wet watercolor application. He uses this process to introduce the his students of whatever age to the magic of watercolor. In addition to expanding people’s appreciation for the art of collage, the process reinforces basic color mixing theory using only primary colors and is a wonderful way to make use of those “failed” paintings we all have stashed away in a drawer somewhere! The social time begins at 10 with the business meeting at 10:30, followed by the demonstration. We will be meeting in the AUDITORIUM for this month and several in the near future.
