SC "My Artsy Summer" public meeting (Sunday, September 13, 2026)

After a summer hiatus, the Southern Chapter of NMWS opens its new year with "My Artsy Summer", a chance for members and guests to bring paintings or sketchbooks they've created over the summer break, or speak of their art experiences over the summer. Members may also bring paintings that you've created after borrowing one of our DVDs to inspire others to learn more!

This is always a special and inspiring program to get reacquainted with each other and spark creativity and painting practice going forward.

We welcome the public to come to our meetings and get to know us and learn about watercolor. Hope to see you there!

More Than Flowers:
Botanical Illustration, Botanical Art and Floral Art

Join artist Pamela Strobhar for a presentation exploring the different characteristics of these styles. Discover how each discipline differs in purpose, accuracy, composition and expression. Learn the unique role and history that watercolor holds in the botanical and floral art space. The hope is to convey a deeper appreciation of these beautiful traditions and leave you with ideas for your own experimentation and creativity.

The Southern Chapter May program will be our annual swap and sell of art supplies and books (bring your cash and bags to carry your purchases)!
