The New Mexico Watercolor Society - Southern Chapter sponsors one or two workshops per year in Las Cruces. These workshops are often taught either by local well-known artists or by the jurors that have been invited to evaluate our exhibit in the spring each year. Recent workshops have been taught by: Bill Bissell, SWS; acrylic artist, David Rothermel, local watercolorists, Marie Siegrist, Nancy Frost Begin, Laurel Weathersbee, and watercolorist, Marian Alstad.
When we begin accepting applications for an upcoming workshop, application forms will be posted on this page of the web site and made available to members at monthly meetings and via email. Workshops are offered first to members of the New Mexico Watercolor Society-SC.
2010-2011 plans are for one workshop to be held in the spring. The NM Watercolor Society - Southern Chapter is excited to be able to offer a three-day workshop presented by Frank Francese, a nationally known watercolorist, March 16 through March 18, 2011. An application for the workshop will be available at our meetings and here on the website later in the Fall.
