The Southern Chapter 2009-2010 year is full of practical and informative programs. Our group meets on the second Sunday of each month at 2 pm. In the Good Samaritan Arts and Crafts Room, 3011 Buena Vida Circle, LC, unless announced otherwise. All are welcome to attend. There may be a nominal fee charged if a non-member is providing a specific program. Details of the upcoming month’s program are announced in the Brushstrokes. Below are the Winter and Spring 2010 plans.
- January 10, 2010: For our first meeting of the year, Margaret Berrier, a Las Cruces jewelry artist will inform us about creating an artist biography. This should be most informative. There will be a $3 fee for members and $5 fee for nonmembers at this meeting.
- February 14, 2010: Our own Carolyn Bunch will give us tips on figure and portrait painting. Come and hear how Carolyn accomplishes her vibrant works. Take this opportunity to ask her your burning questions.
- March 14, 2010: The program for this month is in the works and will be announced soon.
- April 11, 2010: This month’s program is to be given by local artist and high school instructor, Sylvia Bowers. She will lead us in a hands-on exercise using our own photo images as the basis for paintings. Watch for further instructions. There will be a $3 fee for members and $5 fee for nonmembers at this meeting.
- May 2, 2010: Program not yet finalized.
